Thomas Wuertemberger |

Irmingard - What great work you do! Thanks for sharing the beauty of our planet with the world. You are loved. Celebrate Love! Larry James Professional Speaker, Author, Relationship Coach Scottsdale, Arizona |
Irmingard, As always, your art is a perfect meal for the eyes. I do not jest here. I tell it like it is. Your inate talent and sensitivity show in every photograph and stroke of the pen. Yours is a talent which does indeed need to be shared. Myself, I thank you for sharing with both myself and the eyes of the world. Never give up. Yes, it is far more than strange how (in my opinion) so many will sit, stare, sigh, and take it no further. Your work is something which we all need to have at hand. These troubled and confused times cry out for such a poptent opiate for the soul. Myself, I keep your CDRoms right here at my PC desk. I admit to having many a time where they are both needed and are the very tonic which sedates my psyce. The rest of us will catch on. Do not throw in the towel, Pads. You have human needs like all of us. Keep up with what you do...at what you are...art in it's purest form. The world will catch up with you on it's own. The world already cherishes your talent and the gems which it brings to us all. Again, thank you for being just who you are. |

Ms. Anna -- it was great -- it continues to expect. Kwan Nam Park |
Hi. Its cool. |
Great job on the Art! Here is a Poem I wrote I thought you would like. TRUE WORLD The true world sinks in sand of a thousand entities of souls of the past; Truly, the dead no nothing, but the living espouses the pure electric current that lasts beyond all expectation of all living beings. Whispers of amps propel its ways to its loved ones beyond the outside understanding of the will of survival. A telephone rings and a nation answers with their hearts open wide. The desperate last words to loved ones, for a crimson tide. The World is a canvas of blood, petrified upon Truth with the Lazarus effect that regains a living soul of blood, and honor. Alas, we live again to fight, for there is no fear in Love. Lets look to Him, above. - Louis Turner |
Congratulations for your nice photos. Always nice to look at. Kind regards, Richard |

Hello, Irmengard Once again I visit and find interesting things to view. Are you the artist that created the visuals? And the poetry? Your email spoke of the calligraphy, but not the rest. At any rate, I find them poignant, as in effective and emotionally moving. It is great to hear from you. I am painting miniatures these days and will be presenting them on the website and ebay in the near future. I'll let you know so you can take a look. Do keep up the creative flow. Gwen |
Thank you for the beauty and the inspiration, you and your words and pictures stir my feelings and my thoughts |
Hi Anna... Thank you for your e-mail update received today We so enjoy keeping up with all you lovely pitures and art work In particular you Festival of Venice and South Africa.. You have inspired me into buying a new camera (Fuji Finepic 602 Z) not that I can match your work !!! Keep up the picture again many thanks Derick |
The calligraphy is beautiful. I have always thought that writing should be an art form, as with Chinese/Japanese. Have occassionally tried it myself. Pity it isn't in English (for my sake only - very self centred of me!) But I don't have any other languages (rely on my husband, when we are overseas!) Anyway, WEll done, Virginia |

An anniversary can be sweet or solemn, but either way, it is only the echo, not the cry. From this distance, we can hear whatever we are listening for, we can argue that Sept.11, changed everything or nothing. |

Dear Irmingard Anna Kotelev Hai. This is Kaameshwaran from India. I am totally disturbed thinking about the day and the victims who were killed brutually by people who have no heart, no brain and who do not know the value of life. They cannot escape anywhere and will have their end in the same way. Quote " People What They Sow will Reap The Same" Unquote. My heartfelt sorrow goes to the Citizens of America and the relatives of poeple who lost their lives in a pathetic way. I pray God that their Souls rest in peace. I am short of words to describe how i feel when i think about the day one year back. All my family members join me in condoling the loss of innocent lives in a brutal way and this is nothing but "Murdering Of Decocracy". The people who had carried out are traitors and they had done breach of trust to the Country which had given them shelter all these years. I pray God that people from all walks of life, religion, creed should live in harmony, peace and respect for each other. As the saying in India, "When We Came Into This World We Had Brought Nothing And We Leave We Are Not Going To Take Anything With Us" --- We shall put all our efforts to make this planet a "LOvely, Wonderful and Peaceful" place for all fellow beings to live in harmony. Thanking You Your's V.Kaameshwaran |
Thank you for the intriguing images you made available to the world! Living on the west coast has made it difficult for me to ever travel to the east coast. You have provided me with a magnificent view of the beauty of New York, and I now have a better understanding of what a powerful symbol the Twin Towers really were for our country. Thank you and bless you for sharing your talent and your perspective of our nation. :-) |
You have assembled a most impressive slideshow --- a stirring and beautiful tribute to those who live there and those who had their lives taken away by a senseless act of mindless violence. The inclusion of Louis Armstrong's song What a Wonderful World was a magnificent addition and made it a touching memorial. Best regards from Canada, Gail + Garry Jopko |
I live in Henderson, Nevada, USA. Henderson is next to Las Vegas. Thank you, Anna, for notifying me about your website and guestbook. September 11th will be a day that I'll never forget. |
Thanks again for the gift of your visual message along with camera's eye. We have all changed and so to our son's family returned from NYC this March after short stay in Columbia University. This could be God's thoughtful plan. These slides are all very treasue for me. Praying for the souls of the 911 dead. Peace and light. September 12, 2002 Toshiro |
Wir finden deine Bilder ganz toll! Elfi will dich schon oft anrufen. Meistens dann niemand da, oder belegt. Irgendwie kommt Ihr beiden schon zusammen! Grüße und bis bald! Elfi und Manuek |
BEAUTIFUL! Wow, very professional. i dabble but prefer B & W. Have a blessed day |
My dream is to visit New York City someday. My goals are three-fold: To pay tribute to ALL lives lost on 9-11, to honor EVERY hero, helper, and mourner, and to see that BEAUTIFUL Lady of Liberty who lovingly and powerfully stands in the harbor. I will kiss the ground she stands on, for the God-given freedoms she represents are so very dear to us all! Your pictoral tribute to this wonderful city makes me long to be there, yet it helps me feel like I am not too far from my dream. Thank you! May God continue to shine HIS mercy upon us as we lift our hearts toward HIM! |
Compliments for your job ! |
Beautiful pictures of the best city in the world! |
On this tragic day of 9/11 we join in solidarity with all those who have suffered as a result of this terrorist acts and pray that the people of America will have the strength to overcome this tragedy. At the same time we hope this also will remind the world about the importance of supporting movements that are non-violent in nature, such as the non-violent Tibetan struggle for freedom from China and for which Tibet's spiritual and temporal leader, the Dalai Lama, won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989. |
Nice work, beautiful concepts. God bless you |
Dear Anna, thank you for the email. Whe are have see the Pictures and you Webpage. We all hope for a better world Best heartwarming Regards from Europe of Delidimitriou Marketing, Import Export Retail & Wholesale Business Stock dealers |
Thank you for allowing us to express our sadness, and to share in our hopes in this beautiful tribute. The Twin Towers are still an open wound, and will no doubt take a long time to heal. Please take all the love and tributes that are being sent to you and embrace them. Paulette Kennedy |
Thank you for this message. We are very sade in this day. We have to think about all the victims and their family. We hope that never again a same evenement will happen. Sincerely yours. Mes meilleurs sentiments. JFB. |

Hello again, Irmingard, I just received the e-mail announcing your NY, NY tribute. It is beautiful. Here on the west coast, it is still September 11th, and the tragedy is very much on my mind and in my heart. As an American, I wish to express my appreciation for your sensitivity and compassion. Thank you. Gwen |
Thank you so very much for this wonderful tribute,

As a New Yorker it is especially appreciated. Thanks

my thoughts are with you today. |
Thanks for sharing with me the photographs and excellent work on the presentation and pictures. Nice tribute to what was a sad event that should have never happened, like many other events in history from the past. Too bad that these things have happened, as they are not needed and should not happen. Many other challenges in life to solve, such as diseases to cure, climate change, and other forces of Nature that challenge people's lives. Hopefully in the next 1000 years, the sad events will never happen again and the real work of learning more about Nature to improve life will flourish. Robert Blaha San Antonio, Texas USA |
A Prayer God bless the world that can birth such acts as happened on 9/11 And God bless the world that can tolerate them and still embrace God bless the world that can find killers amongst its rich And God bless the world that can find heroes amongst its humble God bless the world that can see destruction as a political tool And God bless the world that can see the same and simply rebuild God bless the world that can waste lives and smile from a cave And God bless the world that can find the smallest part of a murdered human and stand in silent reverence God bless the world that can see suicide as a path to freedom And God bless the world that can see forgiveness as a path to God God bless the world that can hate and find triumph there And God bless the world that can love and find compassion in the rubble God bless the world that can flash infamy around the world in a second And God bless the world that can remember and remember and remember God bless the world that can hostage the innocent to punish the unguilty And God bless the world that can find justice and take revenge upon no one God bless the world that can drag God to a murderous side And God bless the world that can gather us all no matter our sins or our grace |
This has been the most heartbreaking day of my life , exept for 9/11/01. Our family lost one of our family members on flight #93. His name was Thomas Burnett, and I am honored that a man of true courage, bravery, integrity and patriotism was a part of our family. I know that Tom has been welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior. This is the day of rememberance. May God continue to bless Deena and the girls, as they go about their future without a husband or a Father. God, "PLEASE BLESS AMERICA." Linda Poole Moore |
Thank you for a beautiful tribute. I have never been to New York, but maybe sometime in the future. I just wish that all people could work together and find peace. Spend our money on helping people, cures for sickness, perserving the earth. We will get nowhere by fighting against each other and causing destruction. Your pictures are wonderful. Thanks for the time and effort to put this tribute together. |
The memories of 911 will be forever implanted in our minds throughout the free world with sadness & grief. |
Dear Irmingard and Brett! There are no words to take away the pain, but I am sure you will meet your loved ones again. It is really very very sad that the world has gone so mad. But there is one thing that is for sure you Americans will endure. We Australians will not wane to try to take away your pain The Towers they have not gone for we are all united all for one. So take heart our friends you are not alone. Mel |
Nice shot. Tomorrow though, is when we have to watch... Of course... the day's not over. :( MS/RAD |
So the memories of the mishap are back again!! How can we forget the people who lost their loved ones? I hope US understands the reason for such hatred for it amongst the so called "Terrorists". I was watching a documentary yesterday .Tariq Ali (writer) was analysing the events of 9/11. I totally agree with him. It is US's thirst for power over the rest of the world which partly a cause to terrorism. Do you think an attack on Iraq will bring an end to it? NO. It will encourage more terrorists or "Jihadis" to act as Suicide Bombers against US. Who is at the loss? Not Bush, not Blair, not Howard but someone like you and me..... |
Sometimes there just aren't works large enough to encompass the feelings that overwhelm tragedies such as the attack on September 11th. On the one year anniversary, I am reminded that this battle is not over and that there are a great many people living in this world who are so much worse off than me. I am reminded to be thankful, to be grateful, to be patient. For all the big and little everyday miracles that have made my life amazing up until now. I pray. I pray for the victims, for the families, for anyone in this world that is hurting. I am strickin with grief for dreams left undone goals left unaccomplished, for all the lives that were taken much too soon. It seems that we comfort ourselves by thinking that things are meant to be a certain way, that it is for the best. I have a hard time believing it and yet I am afraid to not believe that it is true. Most of all I am stuck by how small I am. How easily my own life can be snuffed from this world in which we all one day will pass. We have so few moments in which to accomplish anything. And we all know life is hard. If I can live life differently in any way as a result, I intend to do my best to be just, honest, kind and good. I will choose the right thing with the best that is within me. I will appreciate family, treasure friendships and work to build a life, however small, that I can look back and be proud of. If at any moment, I too should abruptly die without warning, my hope is that I will have nothing to look back on and wish to change. |
Your slide show ws AWESOME thanks for sharing May God Bless You and Keep You Safe ~Elaine~ |
Carissima Anna, sono italiano e ti scrivo da Siracusa, una bellissima città della Sicilia. Mille grazie per le tue fantastiche foto. Esse saranno sempre un omaggio agli americani scomparsi l'11 settembre 2001. Arrivederci Vincenzo Angrisani |
When we remember our Naval Forces that were lost and have no known grave we say the following, it seems appropriate as so many of the victims are in the same situation. On all the oceans white caps flow, They have no crosses row on row, For those who sleep beneath the sea, They sleep in peace; our country's free There are no poppies on these sailors' graves, Nor wreaths upon the storm tossed waves, No Last Post from a military band, So far away from their native land. No heartbroken words carved on stone, Just shipmates lying there all alone, The only tributes are the seagull sweeps And the teardrop when a loved one weeps WE WILL REMEMBER THEM Thank you for pointing me to this site |
I am Stephen Hazelman, a Samoan I share with your people a moment of silence in remembrance of the people who lost their lives on 9/11 Stephen |

Dear Irmingard..Thank you for your heart felt tribute to our country...My prayer is that all wars will end and that we have peace on earth around the globe. Here is a poem that I just composed today: Now that I have become fifty-nine I wish I had the power to turn back time, When life was simple and cares were few And my main concern was how little I knew. My prayer for the world is that we vow To seek peace....ban all hated and wrath; Abolish terrorist wars that kill and hurt.. Oh God, let us not have to fear the news Brought in coded warnings of colour alert Spouted in its defeating ratios Of high... medium... and low! My dear friends, please let us know We still have time to walk And follow the garden flower path Where there are safe colours To lift us up on earth to grow In redeeming ratios Of high...medium...and low! (c)Andrea Jeanne Petersen Written September 11, 2002 |
Ms Imirgard Anna, Thanks again for the lovely pictures that i recieved today. They are as always very well done & so nice to view. Have a great day & also many wonderful years to come. Sincerely, Ann Megowan, Shasta lake, Ca. U.S.A. |
We will remember always! |
Dear Irmingard Anna, Go, woman go!! Your photography is great!! Now is the time to remember but not the time to get mushy. This isn't about revenge, it's about justice. Whatever the justification is for killing over 3000 innocent lives, the truth is that there is no justification. Thomas |

We All Became New Yorkers (poem) (karla dorman, burleson, texas) When we heard the news that a plane had hit one of the World Trade Towers... WE ALL BECAME NEW YORKERS. When we watched the second plane deliberately running into Tower Two... WE ALL BECAME NEW YORKERS. When we realized that America was under attack, *our* Nation, *our* City... WE ALL BECAME NEW YORKERS. When we saw the shocked looks of people on the street, we felt their pain and... WE ALL BECAME NEW YORKERS. When the Towers came down... first one...then its twin...we were devastated... WE ALL BECAME NEW YORKERS. When we heard that possibly thousands of people died, they became our family... WE ALL BECAME NEW YORKERS. When we heard the FDNY and NYPD lost many of their own, who died trying to save others... WE ALL BECAME NEW YORKERS. When we heard about the tragedy, we all gave blood, money, time, resources... WE ALL BECAME NEW YORKERS. When this happened on September 11, 2001, it just didn't hit ONE city... they hit *OUR* City...and... WE ALL BECAME NEW YORKERS. ---------------------------------------------------- Meet a fellow New Yorker who's a Texan! :) I love New York, even though I've never been to the City... I've always wanted to see it. I love skyscrapers, and had always wanted to see the Towers...now, they are gone, and it breaks my heart. In rememberance, I wear a necklace with a charm of the Twins on it, and it ain't comin' off. I have friends who lost loved ones in the attacks, and I remember them in my own little way. Hope this poem helps... ((((HUGS)))) and love, karla dorman, burleson, texas. God bless NY!!!! :( |
Irmingard, you photos are truly amazing!! What a gift you have for capturing just the right image. Also your friends words were very touching. We must never forget but we must move forward at the same time. Thanks for the lovely message. |
Dear Irmingard, I am very touched by to remember that you have just done me, for the twin towers of World Trade Center of the New York City. I thank you much more sincerely. I keep this opportunity to have a pious thought for all the victims of the tragedy of September 11,2001. Nice photographies. Bravo et félicitations. |
September 11, 2002 (10-30 PM Bangladesh Standard Time) Dear Irmingard Anna Kotelev, After 9/11 the Muslim community in the USA has lost all its credibility to be a rightful citizen of the USA to be in equal footing with their counterpart citizens coming from the Caucasian race. Muslims all over the world has been generally viewed as terrorists by the non-Muslims. Sadly, our neighbour India being a "Hindu" dominated "secular country" took advantage of the situation created after 9/11 by way of persecuting their own "Muslim" citizens in one or other pretext. The latest episodes in Ahmedabad where Muslims were killed just for their religious belief by their Hindu neighbours that has not been condemned by world community the same way 9/11 terrorists were condemned by almost everybody irrespective of their faith or belief, (except for a few fanatic groups who believe in killing innocent citizens would punish US Government's sins committed by way of supporting Israel's policy in the Middle East). Not to mention about the persecution Indian government unleashed on Kashmiri Muslim citizens in the name of Fight Against Terrorists after 9/11 when world's views were focused on Terrorism. Thanks/Hafiz |
Your slideshow was very tastefully done. Bravo! |
Thank you! |

We don't forget and we'll never forget. |
Wonderful pictures! Thank you. |
We are watching on Tv again one year later here in Ireland. My son still lives and works at east 2nd St NY. He is an American citizen and proud. Roger |
It seems that it was one year ago that I was first introduced to your work. It is fitting that on this anniversary you have chosen to present this tribute. Beautiful photography, as always, and a nice remembrance. I just realized that, although I grew up within 30 miles of NYC, I have not visited there since the events of one year ago; and I am still not sure whether I WANT to visit "Ground Zero" or not. Time will tell, and I will probably get there one day. |
Nothing needs to be said today, apart from God Bless New York and the USA |
My heart felt warmness goes to those who lost loved ones in that mindless terror that was unleashed on America on September,11,2001.The world will be a better place with love and compassion. d agedy |
This site is very beautiful... well put together! The people of 911 are honored through your work! My heart was touched to view such a memorable view of a place I have only seen on TV! Thank you! Risa Roth- Gillaspie and Family |
en ce jour anniversaire de ce terrible drame pour votre pays, je vous adresse mes meilleurs pensées de mon ile lointaine. |
How shall we remember? How can we forget? |
My condolences to the survivors of 9/11, the United States of America will overcome and prevail as always. |
To all my American friends, it has been 1 year since this horrendous act of terrorism occurred. Let us not forget all those victims who died a horrible death, and all their families, who lost wonderful family members on that tragic day. Our hearts go out to you .... God Bless You. |
Spectacular photos. If in our hearts and minds, we can still picture the New York City skyline unviolated by the unspeakable evilness of the 9/11 terrorists, there is hope for healing, understanding, reflection, and renewal. But it is important to situate this tragedy on a global tapestry of terror and suffering. Working as a journalist in Kampala, Uganda, I saw another kind of terror, no less evil in its motivation, unfold before my eyes in 1994 when nearly one million Rwandans were killed by their fellow nationals. My existence has been pocked with the experiences of senselesss deaths of millions more in Congo and Sudan. The experience of 9/11 should inspire all of us to work for the end of the causes of war, terrorism, and genocide all over the world. |
God bless the innocents deaths of mads men. |

Thanks for having made me dream and travel so far in my mind and heart in such a short time. I do live for intense moments as those provocated by Art and Beauty in general, by your pictures right now. Keep on looking at the world and the people around you as you do. Sincerely yours, Cannelle, from Provence (Southern France) |
Dear Irmingard Time got away from me again, I've just had time to look at your new South African pictures, and as usual, they are beautiful. I did adore the green and white house, but of course the natural sceneries have their own beauty. I've been busy planning a trip to England, but unfortunately will not have time to make it to Germany, if you are there. I hope you were not affected by the recent floods in Europe. I saw some scenes on the news, and it was so disturbing. Tomorrow is the anniversary of New York's disaster, I saw others have acknowledged that. I will write to my New York friends. All my love Herliche Grusse Christine. |

Hi Anna Thanks for taking the time and effort for putting this beautiful site up for all of us to see. thanks |
I really like your slideshow, and you chose your music well. However, your slideshow is on Tripod, and whenever it serves an ad, it freezes the slideshow, and it is impossible to restart it! I would like to see the rest, so hopefully you will be able to fix this! |
To all the latinos that died in the tragedy of September 11. We are with you. |
Very nice work. An inspiration to all of us who struggle with a camera. Best of luck to you. Elena Roche |
It is Friday-evening September 6. I am alone in the living room. Just received this email with the slideshow from the New York that I have learned to love. In 1970-1971 I staied in America as an exchange student from Youth for Understanding. I came from the Netherlands. The Highschool where I was a senior had their trip to Nassau on the Bahamas. Personally I grew up on an island. I had heard that booz was the main attraction for some of my classmates to go to Nassau. It did not appeal to me. I wanted to see America and was a bit disappointed that they preferred this tropical island. Then I got the chance to go with the senior class of the High School of Flint Michigan to New York. Woow, that was what I wanted. I wanted to see New York. Didn't mind at all that it was with a different school of a different town. I was going to see New York. And did I ever see New York. On those 3 days before Easter in 1971. We saw all the sights. Were on top of the Empire State Building. Went to the Statue of Liberty. And enjoyed the Circle Line around Manhattan. Tonight all those memories of 30 years ago passed my screen. I loved the pictures. How well did I recognize the spots, the feelings that I had when I was there. It was a true Deja Vu. Then I woke up. This was the New York that I knew. The New York that I left behind and have not seen since. This was the New York that I loved, this was the Senior Trip when I was 18. Suddenly I remembered how we flew to La Guardia Airport, how we saw on the left outside of the window the Twin Towers, the City and all that made New York to what is was. This was the New York I loved. This was the New York I had seen. Thanks for the beautiful memories. Thanks for making me stop and think about what happened 30 years after I was there. God bless you America, Keep Strong ! Gerrit Visser YFU Exchange Student from Holland in South Lyon Michigan (1970-1971) host of http://coworking.com and the CoWorking Continued Group at Yahoo http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CoWorking/ |
Thank you for the tribute. However, I could not get your slideshow to work. It shows only a photo (albeit a lovely one) of a flag with the Statue of Liberty in the background. |
Wonderful photography. You have great perspective and beautiful mastery of your subject material. I applaud your work. |
As a Canadian living in Washington, DC, I thank you for the beautiful tribute to my American brothers and sisters. |

Thank you so much for the most beautiful tribute to Sept.11 that I have ever seen! I love to see the photographs of the WTC in all it's Glory! You do such beautiful work and your photography can really touch many people. Thank you for touching me with it's splendor! May God continue to Bless You and Your Camera! |
Hi: I've visited your photos before and do enjoy your work. In my 3 trips to S. Africa I took many photos but there are so many possibilities. It is an astonishing country but much like Southern California. Ed Smith |
Thank you. Your eloquent expression has touched my heart and I am very glad to be able to forward this to friends and family all over the world. |
Thank you for such a wonderful slideshow of pre 9-11. I left NY when I was 10 years old and have been missing it ever since - for the last 25 years. I often wonder what I would be doing if I was still a New Yorker, I wish I could have been there to help in any way. |
Great ! |
Pads, Your work is so wonderful that I would rather look at it,soak it in, than lick you. Grin. Running like hell now. I know how cats are. =Oo=Ooo=OoZoom! |
Dear Irmingard, We, as well as the people of Myanmar wish to express our deepest sympathies for the people of Dresden (State of saxony) who are suffering from the worst floods in their history. We share in their loss and sorrow. May they recover from their loss soonest. Best regards to you. Tony Yang General Manager |

Hello again Irmingard...I have just been on a little trip around South Africa with you...we seem to have something in common - a love of clouds, sea and rocks. I was a bit down until I looked at your work, which left me with such a good feeling. Many thanks Jean |
I cannot express my joy in viewing these photographs taken in Africa. Some of them made me feel I was in Asmara, Ethiopia again. I have fond memories of that city and the peoples. I also had the priviledge of visiting several other cities while living there for the 18 months and enjoyed each and every one. Keep up the wonderful work you do. It is very much appreciated. Sincerely yours, |
Hi Anna! I just viewed your latest photographs in South Africa. Truly, they're a sight to behold! Such a beautiful country that everybody shouldn't fail to appreciate its picturesque panorama. Beautiful indeed! Well, congratulations for all your endeavours. Take care and keep smiling. Mark |
I am delighted that you love our country! It is an amazing place to stay! And even more amazing to visit. This year, 2002, would be the year to come to see the wild flowers in the western part of South Africa. They are already out (August!) and it promises to be a bumper year! Another sight to behold is the Richters Vlei (great black bolders which appear to have been piled for Giants to war!) |
Dear Anna, Good to hear from you again and thanks once again for sharing your wonderfully captured pictures of South Africa :) Didn't know South Africa could be so serenely beautiful..thanks for your efforts and keep up the good work! |

Dear Irmingard, Thank you so much for sending the update to your new pages of photographs on So.Africa. Your work is extraordinary! Especially liked the rule of thirds on your pictures Hexiriver Valley and Cape House. Loved the jogger with the elongated shadow. Ostrich was great..good eye contact and it looked like it walked up close to you. Also thought Shaka Zulu was very good. It took awhile but I looked at all of the new series of pictures and it was well worth the visit. |

Guten Tag;A friend sent me your website of the Carnival in Venice 2002 photos. It was nice viewing the costumes and elaborate masks posed in front of the Doges Palace. I recently visited Paris - then toured Venice, Florence, and Rome. Also, I hear that you are German? My mother is German -- I was born and raised in Heidelberg, Germany. My last year's European adventure was spending two weeks in Germany where we spent time in Heidelberg, Rothenburg, Munich, and Berlin. At any rate, I must say that your website is splendid and the images are truly wonderful. Thank you for these fantastic pictures on the Carnival of Venice. Amazing how human imagination could be translatedinto masks....which, captured by imaginative photography, could generate even more human imagination. These masksseem so alive. I said this before and I will say it again. The majority of us in the Fiji Islands, and in the Pacific, for that matter, will never ever get to the Carnival of Venice.....or New York....except through your pictures. May God Bless you for sharing them with us....and with the world. |

Beautiful photo. I enjoy photography and have some nice pictures I took of Venice last year. Hope to go back soon. |
Dear Irmingard, indeed, this has been a wonderful "http://www.aurumxxl.com/ny/pages/frame.htm" slide show.I've been over at Big Apple many, many times since my first marthon I did in 1992.In a close co-operation with the NYPD Police Academy and other field activities I becamenominated and honored by the NYPD Honor Legion with a emdal called "Merits"...Lots of my friends with whom I'm in touch since then are retired meanwhile. But nevertheless I'm trying to keep the lines busy as the responsable liasion officer for Northamerica. The 9-11-disaster (or attack) I did attend in front of the TV becoming aware the collaps of TT - a place where I'd been several times on duty...Not to say the emotions coming up while sharing these moments with my oversea partners... (even now typing these lines it makes me feeling like a kind of flashback :-(((()No I'm gonna jump to you other sites! Hope, you had a marvelous Munich beergarden day today! All the Best + Kind RegardsWolfgang |
Dear AnnaMorerer, unhappy rumor has been heard.New God[philosophy] is required.Creation of new order seems to be necessity. |
Fantastic photos, I just love masks, I am a New Zealander living in Melbourne Australia, who is an avid Venetian lover, and an ametaur mask makerI'm hoping to go to Venice 2003 in Carnivale time, so I've been trying to locate the right people so that I get to the Doge's Masked Ball. Do you know who I could contact. I will of course, make my own mask to wear. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos with usRegards, Claire |
I too spent a most wonderful week in Venice. The Carnival was and is something I shall never forget. The only bad thing that happened to me was that I starved during the event. I can not express how much I feel one should attend this Carnival Of Colours however, do try to eat. The beauty tends to fade when malnutrition sets in. Next time I will bring a lot of dollars to make you a very day, promised! |
Merci. Nous allons montrer les superbes photos du Carnaval de Venise aux élèves de notre petite école du Beaujolais qui ont étudié l'histoire d'Arlequin cette année. |

It was an awful thing, the towers.I still don`t know quite what to say about it.A mad man like Bin Laden should be shot on sight. It makes mewonder if the west and our spiritual veiws are not just a little inaccurate, perhaps also those of the muslim world as well. They seem to be convinced that their form of faith is moretrue and honest than Christianity, well I`m not saying that Iagree with that but,Islam showed up just a few years after the Christian church destroyed the libraries at Alexandriain Egypt. It seems possible that they might have had access to knowledge that we don`t.Those libraries had tons of documents that related to mans early history from the Sumerianperiod thru to 600ad or so.I`m not saying that we as Chistiansare wrong and I`m not saying that as Muslims they`re wrong,I`m merely suggesting that we can learn from one another. |
The majority of people in our islands have never been to New York. Thank you for capturing these breathtaking views for us. It is a relief to know that Lady Liberty stillstands tall and mighty in the New York in our minds. And may the Almighty God Bless you as you share this album with those like us, around this global village, who are not likely to ever visit New York. |
Very impressive photos. |
I veiwed two presentations, I thought they were great, pictures and music |

PRESENT DAY TRUTH"The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy it less. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life; we've added years to life, not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the neighbor. We've conquered outer space, but not inner space; we've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we've split the atom, but not our prejudice. We have higher incomes, but lower morals; we've become long on quantity, but short on quality. These are the times of tall men, and short character; steep profits, and shallow relationships. These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare; more leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition. These are the days of two incomes, and more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes." It is a time when there is too much in the show window and nothing in the stockroom; a time when technology can bring this letter to you. AKHTAR HUMAYUN, figar_pk@yahoo.co.uk |
MY MESSAGE IS LOVE AND KINDNESS , WHEREEVER IT REACHES IN THE UNIVERSE . WE ARE LIVING ON THIS PLANET EARTH WHICH IS A PART OF UNIVERSE. Thanks for all....I love NYC... great pictures.Sincerelymassimo |
Congratulations! A wonderful tribute and funtastic pictures of a then and now beautiful New York. |
After going through your slideshow, it once again reminds me of how human being can construct such a beautiful place and how human being can bring destruction which have left a never fading scar in its history. The world is not safe at the moment unless we started to think of universal responsibility. I live in Dharamsala, a small town at the Himalayan foothill. This is the place where headquarter of our Tibetan Government in exile is situated and His Holiness the Dalai Lama also lives in this town. |

I really enjoyed your pictures. I am going to keep them here on my computer. My best friend sent your site to me from Birmingham Al. This is such a thoughful picturama.. I've been to New York only once and that was many years ago, but the 2 towers were awe inspiring. I did see the impact of those planes and still have a hard time to believe that it actually happened. Your pics are incredible... Keep up the good work |
May God give thee peace and everlasting life.Moale Gapi |
Once again I am dazzled by the "Theater of visions" and that wonderful picture that caress one's emotions so deeply. Iwould say, Anna, that you are a kind soul and God bless you my friend for having the time to reach out to us. Looking at your works of artistry is a therapy for our minds. Furthermore, my friends at work were amazed at these illustrationsand loved them. Once again, thank you, you have made my day |
The terrible tragedy that happened in New York won't must happen again. And what is important it depends on us (on both you who read these lines and me who write them). Let's find the way!I've never been in New York.I only have seen many photos of this huge and beautiful city... Your photos told me about some new colours and mood of this city. I just opened some new images and places. Thank you, Irmingard Anna! |

Hello Anna, this is your friend Alton. I saw your picture and you are a beautiful woman, and it is always good to be able to associate a face with someone who you come to admire. I met you after 911, and I truly feel that if it is ok to note this as a positive distinction, given the tragedy that occured, but I think that it was a real positive to meet someone like you who I feel writes and produces Art and Photographs that depict what your heart feels. I think that through communication with you, I have found a friend who I know is a lot like myself, and I think that it is definately a good thing but I view you as someone Who genuinely cares, and thats a rarity. Please stay the same always. Your Good Friend from the US, Alton. |
Wonderful as always ;) |
Thank you, that was great! |
Hi ANNA,congratulations,weldone,naga kana |
It is always a pleasure to visit your WebSite..~!!!L7 |
Dear Anna, Thank you for sending the correct address toyour New York tribute page which is beautiful and touching.Again I also loved your carnival pictures which are awesome.Have a good Sunday and keep up the great work that you do!! |
Dear Irmingard, thanks for your emails and notifications. Your Venice Carnival is very beautiful and spectacular, but I can't get the NY one to load properly - only get half each image which is annoying. Will try again another morning when happen to have little email awaiting. This is another message, having glanced through your guestbook. Yes, September 11 was horrifying, the dreadful loss of life echoing the lives the US has taken in its time, with its dreadful interference and wars. The way to avoid this in future is to make friends with as many people as possible, be generous, help and accept and applaud diversity and other people. I wish our own government would stay out of the conflict. Bombing starving civilians is no answer to anything. |
Hello Irmingard: First of all, what a beautiful name! I want to thank you for your beautiful photography. Your pictures tell a story in each and every one. A friend sent me you website, and I am so pleased that she did. You have an exceptional talent, and are so very kind to share it with all of us. God Bless You and Keep you Safe. Joyce in California, USA |

Thanks for the great pictures. I used to see the towers everyday from my home in NJ. It still seems strange withthem gone. |
Thank you for the wonderful pictures and the lovely thought. |
Anna, your photography is excellent. It is nice to meet a fellow artist. I am a flower gardener in Vermont. I also am a photographer. I convert my flower picture via my computer as my paintbrushs, into impressionist cyber paintings. At my Cyber Monet site click onto the "Private Stock" button--it is the non commercial section of my site. While there see "Always Remember" When I made this picture last summer my soul must have been in your city. I hope you like it. It is not my favorite as impressionist art goes but the image will capture your soul too.Thank you for sending me the invite to see your work.Jerry Gryniewicz |

While it seems so little to offer or to say in the face of such incomprehensible loss, it was extremely important to the entire Nile Commerce team that we express in a collective voice our deep sadness and sympathies to all those affected. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL |
I'm so sorry for the loss of human life, and for the loss of so many husbands, wives, sons, daughters, granddads and grandmothers.May god bless and protect the innocent and punish the evil in this world. |
Elämäni sankari, sinä muistit mua... |
Although I could not see your slides I feel compelled to comend you on this initiaive. |
Ms. Kotelev, after seeing the picture of Lady Liberty looking over at the Twin Towers before 9-11, I really want to preserve that thought. I will definitely pass this on.Thank you so much for your photographic genius towards this.Bless you. |
Great photos...Thank You for reminding me of the beauty of New York |
Sorry, but just missed out on giving my opinion of the picture. It is a wonderful sight, especially with "LIBERTY" in the forefront. You have done an excellent job. I will store this in my libraryand definitely produce the same for my son. Tank you. |
My son and I, with my wife frequently visited the WTC ,it was immaculate in every way. My son was devastated when it waspulverized. Up to now, my intense anger at these culprits who have committed this act, is still pronounced. I really felt deeply for all those peoplewhose lives were lost. But, we stand by our America and the fightagainst terrorism is totally relevant, and will support ourPresident on his policies.America is a great country and the citizens who contribute toits advancement will prevail. Let my blood flow for thiswonderful country.'Tough times never last, but tough peopledo." GOD BLESS AMERICA. |
The pictures are beautiful. I can't imagine how many people involved in the activity, and how busy the preparations are.Congratulations and look forward to see the next carnival. |
N. A.. |
An excellent set of pictures, great photography, a fitting tribute. Thanks Irmingard. |
Ms. Kotelev,I have gone through these pictures. They are wonderful; the photography is breathtaking. Each picture is alive and tells the story in more ways than words can. I have passed them on to my colleagues for them to travel with me in their imaginations. This is a wonderful piece of art on your part, and a great tribute to the tragedy. Best wishes,Liseli Simasiku-SikotaWorld Bank Country OfficeP.O. Box 35410LUSAKAZambia |
i'm very sad about what happened, i can't find the right words for this tragedy.i saw the great towers in 2000. i hope the people get the power from a helping hand, from god. god bless america and the world.christian köchy |
Magnifiques photos, vraiment, si, si...Ville impressionante, gigantisme impressionant.
Well done. A great tribute. |
Brvo pour vos photographie, je vous souhaite un bon chemin. |
Wow. Words failed me on September 11th, what a fittingtribute. Thank you for a beautiful insight into the cityof New York.My heart goes out to all those who lost someone in theattack, and also to all members of the emergency serviceswho worked so hard for what must have felt like monthsafterwards.May God be with America and her people. |

!!!! WOW !!!! Really enjoyed the Carnival of Venice pics. Had no idea the costumes were so elaborate. Beautiful! |
Dear Irmingard, a dear friend of mine, Rolf from Australia, gave me your wonderful site and I am greeting you from the Antarctica! I am a ship's doctor at the luxury liner MS Bremen. ICE CLASS, because that ship has a special construction to navigate through the ice. The last 6 months I was crossing Vancouver, San Francisco, Hawaii, Kiribati, Tuamotu Archipel, French Polynesia and Bora Bora, Tahiti, Tonga, Fiji, Marquesas, Pitcairn Islands, Easter Island (Rapa Nui), Robinson Crusoe Island, Valparaiso. Now we are shipping between Ushuaia (Patagonia) and Antarctica. Here is more sun than in California, less rain than in Arabia, the mountains are higher than in Switzerland and it's colder than in your fridge! We could walk with the penguins and the polar bears less dressed. Shipping around Cape Horn the good weather conditions have changed and a storm has coming up to 10 wind strength and very high ridge! Very rough sea! In the deep sea 15,000 sailors and 800 ships are burried there. Sorry I can't be with you in Venice for that outstanding carnival, because I have to dance with the penguins and the polar bears! They have also nice costumes! Greetings from the South Pole, Antarctica MS Bremen - Hospital DOC Holiday Gerhard |
I have to say that its photos are very beautiful really and they express really the magic of the carnival in Venice, said by me that to Venice I were born there and I have been living there for about 30 years. My compliments Melania |
Wonderful colourful photos. The costumes remind me of Carnival in Tenerife in February. Thanks for sharing. regards, Maggie |

Good site about Venice. If you need an hotel near Venice write to me. |
Irmingard: Glad to hear from you. I see that you switched your URL. You are probably having problems with your server similar to what we experienced in Canada at the end of November into December. As a result, my e-mail changed from home.com to rogers.com. Thanks for the update, I feel that your photos are not as clear on this server like they were on the other. There are too many push pins on the background and the background is rather dark. Why don't you lighten up your Backgrounds rather than using black or black off tones. Try something with a bit of colour to brighten up your sight. I hope that you can get the quality back in your photos as they are truly amazing. Take care, Delores |
Wonderful pictures! Thanks for sharing! |

The NY photos were lovely. Thank you for taking the time to send them to me and others. It's still unreal to me that they were taken down with such hatred and thousands of lives with them . I go on now in life with the painful memory of people jumping to their death from terrifying heights. What were their last thoughts.... last words... prayers? Only God knows. Thank you for capturing the beauty of New York . May God be with you. Julie Pisacane |

September 11th had a profound effect on everyone and the tragedy made people from every country examine their own values. I hope that the contribution that New Zealand and the caring people here, helped in the healing process. I applaud the American people, God speed! |
Thanks for sharing those wonderful photos of the Twin Towers. I work in NYC (and had the unpleasant luck to see the 2nd tower collapse before my eyes) and have to see the void in the skyline every day as I approach from New Jersey. It's a pleasure to see the pre-9/11 view of downtown New York. |
Peace and blessings to you and yours.. I looked over all of your pages.. Very wonderful. The slide show was very special and moving.. |
Hi from Portland, Oregon. Thank you for giving us this chance to remember the World Trade Center Towers. For those of us who can't conjure up an image of the NYC skyline, this is a chance to visualize how those magnificent towers impacted the lives of all those who lived and worked under them. They had become a landmark like our mountains are to us out here in the northwest. The same kind of reminiscence through image was used when St. Helen's blew it's top in 1980 and the familiar snow cone along the horizon lost its top. To be reminded of what it was like before and how much we have lost makes us all aware of how fast we can lose something we love. Thank you for sending this portfolio around so all of us can share the experience of loss and longing. |
Great site!!! Thanks for your beautiful work. |
Best regards. Nice page, Nice pictures, really beautifull the photographer. Augusto Electrical Engineer. |

Dear Irmingard, I believe you are an American Citizen. Yes, the madness of September 11th did shake me as the rest of the world. I have my deep condolences for the people who died in the tragic incident and their family members. I believe that as an Indian, I will understand this situation the most than any other country's citizen. I would like to add something at this juncture. I do understand that the act of Sept. 11 has been the most brutal act of terrorism in the world, but why is it that the world can only send their condolences, etc., only when it happened to the USA? Just because it is a super power and the rest of the world wants to look good into the eyes of USA? India has been fighting terrorism from 1985 without any help from the so called leaders of the world who want to eradicate terrorism. Is it that the western world can only reiterate if the tragedy happens with them? Do they not take into account of tragic incidents of terrorism, happening in countries like India, because it is not a western country? India has lost more than 35,000 people so far in the acts of terrorism in Kashmir. I have never received any emails, correspondences, etc., in response to that. Than why suddenly a big overflow of tributes, condolences, etc., for USA? I know there have been many Indians who died on Sept. 11. My only request to people like you, is please don't be bias. I think this bias nature of the western world has now put India in front of a war which, I know, India does not like to fight. India has now understood that no other country in the western world will help it unless it helps itself. I believe a note of this will be taken by people concerned. Regards, Krishna An Indian |

Thank you for sharing your slide show on New York City with me and others on the internet. As horrible as the events of September 11th were, this just goes to show that "where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more." What I mean is that as horrible as the violence and loss of life were that day, the crisis brought out enormous heroism and courage and generosity in the American people, just like in World War II many people did acts of great heroism to try to save Euro- pean Jews from the concentration camps, etc. I guess what I'm trying to say is that sometimes it's the adversity that brings out greatness and nobility of spirit in people. I think we have to pray and work to insure that "these dead shall not have died in vain and this world may have a new birth of freedom" because these people did not choose to die by any stretch of the imagination. What I'm trying to say is that I think we have to work to eliminate the root causes of terrorism in our world by working for a more just and equitable foreign policy towards Middle Eastern nations so we can "deprive these individuals (the terrorists) of their cause" to quote one of my friends in the Middle East justice movement in the United States. All I can say is that this Islamic extremism we see in the world today did not just come out of a vacuum, if you know what I mean. I know this from my studies of Middle Eastern civilization and the Arabic language in college. What we need to do is work for more evenhandedness, tolerance, and fairmindedness in our world today, and I know that the study of classical philosophy and logic can help enormously in this regard. I believe very strongly in what the late Pope Paul VI said, "If you want peace, work for justice." That wasn't just a Catholic or Christian statement; that was a statement of what Aristotle would call "self-evident truth." I guess the corollary to this statement would be that if we neglect to work for justice in the world, we will have alot less peace in the world than we should, and we may have to harvest the fruits of all the injustice in the world. I know that may sound terrible, but I think that that's the way the world really works. What comes round, goes round. Sometimes we may have to pay the price for allowing too much injustice in the world to fester because evil and retaliation are just as real as goodness and light in this world. That's because man's nature is governed by FREE will since we're not just a bunch of robots. Therefore, we have to work for the spread of true justice and goodness in the world to try to "overcome evil with good," as the New Testament says. Then I think we have a much better chance of bringing about the world peace that we so ardently desire. Those are just my thoughts on the matter, Irmingard. Feel free to write back and share your opinions with me. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Once again, thanks for sharing your slides with me. I really enjoyed them. |

As always~~wonderfully captured~~future memories~~ Your eyes are as keen as those of the eagle, Irmingard. Irmingarg, Your beautiful photos took me to the NYC that I remember from my visits there. I could almost smell and taste the city of before 9/11. Thank you for the respite from that terrible day and all the sad days that have followed. God Bless New York, America, and all of those who condemn the dark hearts of the evildoers of the world. -- Donnie Becker |
Dear Irmingard: Your slide show is a great tribute to New York. I want to tell That day I was watching TV and I saw the 2nd crash. My soul is crying since then. I am a neurosurgeon and I not used to be sorrow, but now I am. You have a friend here in my Mexico Best Regards Dr Guzmán Moreno |
Wonderful photographs of NY. I particularly like the view of the WTC complex from the ground. |
It was a nice idea to start this website. For people who has never been to New York, or either the USA, it might give an idea what people might have felt there when the tragedy happened. Of course it is the tragedy of mankind not just of the American people. Thank you for making it possible for us to pay tribute to the victims and their families this way. |
Refreshing... |
My Lions Club was as shocked as everyone else at this inhuman disaster. We have contributed as a club towards the Lions Clubs in New York to show our bond of faith and support in such troubled times. God Bless America. Lion Alan Hale Secretary and PRO Lions Club of Keynsham Somerset England |
Thank you for sending me your photoes! I have remembered 18 years ago when I was in the States whith my family and I took some photoes under the Tween Towers. My doughter was a baby: she run behind the pigeons, the sky was blue... every thing was wonderful. I still keep the photoes in my studio...but the Towers, and so many people do not exist any more... I beg your pardon for my english... but I'm writing with my hart and tears in my eyes... Your photoes are great! America is great! God bless America! |
Sincere thanks for sending your wonderful tribute to New York City , the photographs are great and very professional, Our club members will be informed of your web site at our next meeting. Our thoughts and prayers are with all at this time. Lion Derick Gray. IT Officer Doncaster Lions Club District 105c |
Thank you for your tribute to New York City. The picutres are beautiful. I will pass them on to all the members of my Lions Club. Thank you, Tom Moore Webmaster Olney Lions Club Olney, Texas 76374 |
I grew up on the east coast. I was one of the lucky families, you see, my brother works for the department of energy accross the river from the Pentagon. My family is blessed and also feels deeply for those less fortunate on that day. |
I never had a chance to see the WTC before they were attacked. This slide show is beautiful. It really is nice to see pictures of the towers without smoke for a change. Your pictures make me wish even more that i had a chance to see them, and fill my heart with more sorrow, for who could ruin something so beautiful, who could murder so many innocent people? These pictures are the way we should remember the trade centers, that is how everyone who lost their lives during this horrible attack would want us to. Thank you for posting pictures in remembrance of the beauty of the World Trade Center, and everything it stood for. God Bless America! |
Thank you for the beautiful slideshow, you did a great job. We've never been to New York and so it was neat to look at your pictures to see what we're missing. May God bless you as your journeys take you to many lands and you photograph God's wonderful creations and man's tall buildings. Sincerely, John& Christine Botwright |
Thank you for sharing your GREAT TALENT with us ! I take 90 Rotary Exchange Students from 23 different Countries to New York City every year. Your Pictures show that great city very well but also show the great loss we have had. I hope they rebuild the towers as they where, as a living memorial to those who lost their lives 9/11. Sincerely Michael R. Wilcox |
Beautiful pictures and very heart touching. I would like to know why someone who claims to be "religious" feels the need to kill so many people.... the bible promotes love for all mankind, yet this man Osama Bin Laden and all his followers claim to be "godly" yet they killed thousands of innocent people and have no remorse for it whatsoever. It is sad that they are fooled by a false God and when the time comes for judgment, Osama Bin Laden and the rest of the muslims who serve a "false God" will see that they have been decieved all along, for the only God that they serve is "Satan"... he is the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy and all of them are playing into his hand without even knowing it~ |
Excellent work and most deserving tribute. God bless your as you sacrifice so much to bring succour to those in pain as a result of the cowardly and dastardly incident. I wish you all the best. Most sincerely appreciated Akin |
New York et feu WTC, Cape Town et sa Table Montain... Que de souvenirs. Que de tristesses. Que de beautés à jamais préservées. Excellentes présentations! Bien cordialement depuis Liège (French Belgium). |

Je viens de visiter ce site, c'est simplement magnifique. Les photos incitent toutes au voyage.Un très grand bravo pour cette fabuleuse présentation. Mirko |
A great set of photos. A "million" times I,myself, wanted to take pictures of the Twin Towers for their beauty, but never did. Now it's TOO LATE. Thank the GOOD LORD that you did, and so now I want to thank You. Thank You for the great job that you did. I'm sure many, many others feel the same way. Thanks again. Lots of luck to you, Ray Di C. |
Superb Images - Thank you |
An excellent tribute to both the citizens of New York and to the people of the United States of America. My elder daughter is at present living in Queens and will be returning home to the U.K. in December 2001. The photographs will bring back many memories to her. |
To all those who gave their lives for our tommorow our deep heartfillled tribute and salute to them. |
What has happend will remain in our memory forever. Let us look foward for a total PEACE&LOVE every corner of this wonderfull EARTH. |
Our sympathies to all humanity. We pray that we will never ever have a repetetion of this kind of carnage. However, I also do not agree with the hardship forced on the people of Afganistan. With the superior Intelegence I am confident USA could have brought to Justice the Persons concerned without having to force ordinary people into hardship. It appears that the World does not care for the 3rd World Human lives. We must not forget that God Almighty created all Mankind. Therefore it is incorrect to state that the western lives are more superior to that of the 3rd world. It is very unfortunate that some heads of state make decisions which is not the wish of the people. But the common people have to suffer, while the decision makers may still live in comfort. As I live in a country where terrorism is rampant not only from the organisations but also the politicians. Here again I wish to ask Hon. Tony Blair, when he travels the world to solicit support against terrorism, Why he does not think it is apporpriate that they deport the well known terrorist leaders who are residing in the UK. They have not just conducted attacks killing 4-5 thousand people, But slaughtered and butchered 100s of thousands of people including heads of state. Whilst I appreciate your efforts I hope my thoughts too could be considered. |
Very difficult to accept that the skyline that I saw only in July this year is completely changed due to the action of some mad fundamentalists. A nice tribute indeed! Col AK Mitra |
Not seeing the twin towers each time I go into the city is a fresh reminder for me. I sincerely hope that in a couple of years this is not just a distant memory for the rest of the world. Your slide show is excellent. |
A very moving tribute. |
Inspiing and beautiful. Thank You. |
It's marvelous and very sad at once! Best wishes to NYC |
Lovely! Thank you for the tribute to the United States. Bitte, Leila |
Beautiful pictures of one of the world's great cities. Though the landmark towers are now gone, the spirit of America is not, but lives on stronger than ever. Let us hope that the perpretrators of the horrible events of September 11 will be brought to justice, but not at the expense of engaging us all in another world war. |
Dear Irmingard, Very, very congratulations for your tribute. I share your intention and I send your site and message to my all friends. |
God bless you. |
Brazzaville is not a country. It is the capital of Republic of Congo. Zaire is the old name of the actual Democratic Republic of Congo. For now there are two Congo ( Congo Democratic or Congo-Kinshasa and Congo-Brazzaville) Thanks. |
I share your feelings and put on record that terrorism on Sept 11 was a murder of civilizations. No one and no one can think of such a heinous crime which neither permissible nor tolerable in any cast, creed or religion. I condemn such acts and condole with the bereave families and the American Nation. |
Thank you for such a loving and respectful tribute to my hometown. Let us always remind the world of the beauty and vitality of this great city. Thanks again. |
Thank you for sharing your beautiful tribute with me! Your photographs are exquisite and capture the essence of my favorite city - New York! What a lovely thing for you to do! I will forward to many of my friends and family. |
Very nice pictures of NYC. You hve captured the skyline that once was |
Hi... just to say thanks for your slide show and stuff... so... are you currently living in America... your name is Russian?... but that doesn't mean much in America I realise... ah...strange times we live in I have just returned from staying with some friends in Macedonia... difficult times... ... but, truth and grace and beauty will triumph! may the sun shine on all that you do... It is easy to forget any terrible and horrific experiences we may encounter but when an experiences come into our lifes for unecessary reasons and innocent children and people are killed they should never be forgotten. Remembering always everyone involved. |
Your pictures are beautiful. So lifelike and real. Thank you. |
Great tribrute to NY! |
I am paying tribute to the people and firefighters and police officers for tring to help victims in the september 11th attacks. we will never forget this day , this month, and this year. it is a 2 month anniversary. we will get osama bin laden. they ruined the foundation of buildings but they didn't ruin the foundation of america. america is free for us. |
Good Luck! Mike |
Very nicely done. We in Australia wish you all the best with this one. I have book-marked this site for further viewing. Best wishes. Mel. |

May God continue to bless America and the rest of the world. And punish those who are responsible. By the way we where lucky. We where on the WTC 6 days before the cowardly attacks. |
Thank you. I was in NYC for Christmas Holidays 1999-2000, and the 31st of December with may wife, our three doughters of 6, 9 and 16, and some italian friends spent a beautiful day visiting the Twin Towers. We also had a lunch in the Winter Garden. Now it's all destroyed, and also if two months have passed, it seems to us incredible. I'm a journalist of italian weekly Panorama, and I'm also looking at the attack and at the war against the terrorism for my journal. We are sincerely side by side with the Usa and its government. But we also hope this time the Us-led military alliance, in wich Italy too is involved, do the right thing. In the past, Usa and the West were too soft with terrorism and fondamentalism, or maybe they tought the terrorists should be used. In other words, we joked with the evil. It was wrong; we must learn this lesson. Renzo Rosati |
Very nice tribute. |
I love USA. Io e mio fratello siamo poliziotti, mio padre è pompiere in pensione. Soffro per tutte le famiglie Americane che hanno perso un famigliare e/o amico, ma gioisco ogni volta che conosco un Americano all' ombra del Colosseo o sulle scale di Piazza di Spagna. Come avrai capito io vivo e lavoro a Roma. GOD BLESS AMERICA and MR.PRESIDENT BUSH |
Thanks for your tribute. They are beautiful pictures! I am still very sad over these attacks. Who knows when the sadness will disappear...probably never. I have a whole new look on life now since the attacks. Thanks again for your nice page :) |
Your pictures of New York are a wonderful tribute to the city and it's people. Thank you for sharing them. |
I loved your pictures. God Bless the U.S.A!!! |
excellent, very moving display of photography, makes me proud to be an American. Veterans day is a symbol of our love for this country as we remember the 11th hour with a few moments of silent prayer for those of us that gave their all for what we have as our freedom to live, worship and enjoy the beautiful world as we know it. George |
My heartfelt sympathy to all those people who lost family, friends, acquaintences and, indeed potential as a result of what happened on 11 September. |
Great town and wonderful tribute. Big apples -- big worms, large disasters, but I hope new-yorkers will overcome. I've been in NYC only 20 hours in 1994, but I was delighted and think this town is unique. |
Thank you for putting together the wonderful slide show. I almost didn't open your e-mail because I didn't recognize your address. I found your slides to be very beautiful. |
Thank you for the memories (both good and bad) and for your beautiful photos and website. I'll send it to my friends. |
I certainly agree with you BUT: could you also do a slide show for all the innocent people from Afghanistan who get killed now by US bombs? |
We love NY |
Exactly 2 months ago the United States, the country I'm proud to live in, suffered a series of tragic events of unparalled proportions. These tragic events caused the death of over 5,000 innocent lives. This day is now known as Black Tuesday. Our Government responsed, responded quickly. The war on terrorism was beginning, a war named Operation Enduring Freedom. In the words of President George W. Bush, "Make no mistake, the U.S. will hunt down and punish those responsible," and "We'll be patient, we'll be focused, and we will be steadfast in our determination. This battle will take time and resolve but make no mistake about it, we will win." Over the next few weeks President Bush talked with world leaders forming a coalition against terrorism. In a speech to a joint session of Congress he stated, "Either you're with us or you're against us." And later the UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair, announced, "This is not a battle between the U.S. and terrorism but between the free and democratic world against terrorism." It's said that over 80 countries lost their own people in the September 11th attacks, Great Britain taking the hardest loss at 300 of its own. So you see, these tragic events of that day not only affect the United States but the entire world. To see the nation and the world unite, is in itself, a heartwarming feeling. The terrorists aroused a might nation, the eagle wept but not for long. The image of the NY firefighters raising the flag ontop of the WTC rubble has become frozen in time. It leaves behind a strong statement of patriotism in combating the ugly face of terrorism. For we WON'T yield to those that try to deny us our freedom no matter how hard they try to take it from us. To quote President Bush, "Courage and optimism led the passengers on Flight 93 ro rush their murderers to save lives on the groud - led by a young man whose last known words were the Lord's Paryer and, "let's roll." He didn't know he had signed on for heroism when he boarded the plane that day. We will always remember the words of that brave man expressing the spirit of a great country. We will never forget all we have lost and all we are fighting for. Ours is the cause of freedom. We've defeated freedom's enemies before, and we will defeat them again. We cannot know every turn this battle will take, yet we know our cause is just and our ultimate victory is assured. We will no doubt face new challenges, but we have our marching orders... My fellow Americans, let's roll." |
Thank you so very much for your pictures of New York. Your talent is wonderful. Bless you for your thoughts, your compassion and your kindness. Our world has entered a new era, that of zero tolerance towards needless death for justifying personal beliefs. We are all different, so get over it and get used to it. Ciao America! |
God Bless the land of the free. God help us all to get the courage to fight against Terror. We will have to cross storms made of sorrow and fear, but we will make it. All the people who believe in Freedom, will make it |
November 9, 2001 Dear Ms. Irmingard Anna, Thanks for your kind message and the greetings. In fact, you make me believe that people with good sense are still prevailing in this increasingly dangerous world environment (the Anthrax Virus threats) right after the 11th September incidents in USA and recent killing of innocent people in Afghanistan. We hope USA and allies could get the Afghan people out of this mess quickly and restore human dignity for the Afghan people who had been subjected to very harsh treatment by the Soviets in the past. The people of Afghanistan (minus Talibans and the OBL), particularly the children and women, get to live with human dignity. Best wishes. M. Viewed your photographs. The clarity and the angles are just great. I am sure all Americans will feel a sense of patriotism and as for us in the rest of the world, we wistfully look back at what was the New York skyline. Our hearts go out to all the people affecte dby this great tragedy. |
I watched everything that happened on the eleventh of september as it happened, since we were on the same time frame as NY and the news was on television when I arrived in my office that morning. I could only start crying off the pain when I watched it all over again during the evening news later on that day. I believe that before that I was in complete shock. I still can´t get over the sad feeling of impotence and fear that has stuck with me since that day and I guess I´m not the only one. I just beg time to make us able to understand and overcome these feelings. I am sure we will never forget. Thank you for giving me the chance of keeping photographs of the TT, as I have never been to NYC and was hoping I could get, at least, something to remember what it used to be. God bless all the Americas!! Patricia Allen |
Please accept our heartfelt sympathy in what happened to the Ameican people with this dreadful and awful attacks. We pray God that such mishap won't repeat again and you will gain courage and hope to defy these difficult moments of life. |
God bless all those that neadlessly lost their lives, may that which does not destroy us, make us stronger. |
I'm solidare with people suffered the atack and teir family and friends |
Hi Irmingard Anna, Thank you for kind words. I live on the west coast of USA, Oregon. Disabilities now make it hard to travel very much. I have never been to New York, but we are one and we all feel this pain, very deeply. Warm Regards, Alana I tried to reply back to your email, but it wouldn't let me, so went back through your web site. Wow, very nice shots. Your photographs are like traveling for me, most enjoyable. Thank you. I really loved your Greece photos. Very beautiful. |

A ghastly wound to humanity that will leave a scar on the minds of all forever. A scar uniting us in strength and perseverance for the true meaning of life. Long live America, long live the overall good in mankind. Kojo Amegashie |
Amnesty International Pakistan members condemn the devastating and tragic attacks carried out in usa involving the hijacking of civillian aircraft, resuting in the death and injury of thousands of men, womwn and children. These attacks of 11 September in the USA amount to massive abuse of human rights and international community must cooperate to bring the perpetrators and their accomlices to justice.
Oh please. Talk of exploitation of the horrors of capitalism. Yes, ALL countries and groups wanting to control the earth's resources (including as you have seen the one whose flag you illustrate in your alleged "art" which merely symbolizes a society in which 10% own 90% of the wealth) will at times resort to violence, as is presently happening over control of Caspian oil. Stop believing everything you read about in the papers. This is not about evil people, but soldiers being sent to unbalance the USA's control of Middle East oil (lately manifested by the pipeline being built under Afghanistan). It is not about Muslim fundamentalists per se, although those are the political expressions of the particular gang wanting to control that part of the world, just as the USA uses "freedom" to justify its own desire for a similar sphere of influence. Just as you hear Allah will protect Afghanistan so you read God Save America on bumper stickers here. Sickening jingoism and nationalism and religion propping up capitalist interests which wage workers don't benefit from. The only solution is to take over the means of production for ourselves, and abolish nation-states and money (which we won't need anymore when we produce for use rather than for sale). That is the only enduring peace and sanity before us. You probably voted for four more years of capitalism in the last election, and supported a society in which war and exploitation are inevitable. Until then, don't just mourn the death of Americans, but of innocent millions who die in wars and from starvation every day. Sickened by your "artistic" representation of what is another sickening day under world capitalism. Art like this is just unwitting propaganda to go send workers abroad to kill other workers over what ultimately they won't benefit from. It is also an insult to the thousands of innocent workers who died in the towers. They already gave their lives to enrichen their employers and had to suffer a terrible death for masters abroad. Which just goes to show what "liberty" and "freedom" wage and salary workers today really have! danny |
I offer my condolens to all those who lost someone in this terrible tragedy This was scary for us all. but i know you will not give in to the fears Johnny |
Irmingard, Very nice photo of our flag and the Lady of Liberty. Would you mind if I printed this photo in the American Reform Party newsletter? Don Torgersen Editor and Publisher |

Hello. I live in Mississippi and have unfortunately never been to NYC. This great tragedy deeply saddens me, but at the same time, I love the way the whole country, and the world has come together. It is sad that it takes something this horrific to bring us all together. I hope we can remember 10 yrs from now just how much we all needed each other during these awfuls times. I hope to visit NYC someday. Terrorism will now keep me from my own country. Thank you for the beautiful pictures. |
You have done it nicely!!!!!!!! Best wishes........ |
Sorrow for all. |

Dear Irmingard Anna I sent you an email yesterday. I am desperately trying to get hold of your "Picture of the Week" in the Venice Carnival Section of your website. This is NOT the NY Guestbook as you suggested in your email. I have accessed this through AurumXXL - I hope this helps! I am writing from Conde Nast Publications in London and we are running a feature on the Venice Carnival. Would you be able to send us hi-resolution image......? Please contact me as soon as possible. If I do not hear from you today, I will have to go with another picture. Thanks, Harriet Warren |

This is a beautiful tribute to New York and to every American. Thank you for giving us such wonderful way to remember New York prior to September 11. Cordy |
Poignant, God Bless America! |
I just hope that all of the people I grew up with in NYC that I have lost touch with are ok. My heart goes out to the people who have been bereaved by this tragedy most especially the little children. |
I am an American living in Turks and Caicos Islands BWI. Bravo! A beautiful job well done. I will be back to visit your other works as I am very much interested in photography and others creative works. Take care! michele Wells |
Dear Irmingard Thank you for mailing your beautiful photos to me. I have never been to the USA. But I will never forget the 11.09.01. I switched on TV by chance and I remember my brain having great difficulties understanding what my eyes saw. It was the strangest feeling I ever experienced in my entire life. It made no sense, yet it was real. Here we are on this beautiful planet. Life could be perfect, if we all had love in our hearts. We all must try harder to love one another. |
I come from a small Island called Guernsey in the English channel . We still cannot comprehend the events that took place on Sept 11. Your photographic tribute brings back the enormity of it all and our thoughts are with you. |
With deepest sympathy we all feel the hurt in our hearts, this event has cut through our lives and we feel deep sorrow for the families who have lost their loved ones. Let's pray to God that this will never be allowed to happen again. |
my english is poor, sorry! but I know they did bad war(11 09) to your country. I love you,my friend! |
Though I have never been to the United States, this tragedy has changed my outlook on the world. I have had many e-mail contacts with people both in the US and elsewhere overseas. My thoughts are never far away from what has happened. Will anything be the same again? |
I was fortunate enough to visit New York City for the first time just five weeks before the terrorist attack It seems incredible to think that the New York I grew up hearing about, seeing on TV and in pictures, and beautifully captured here in these photographs, I finally got to see in person only weeks before it was drastically changed. My prayers and thoughts are with those who I met, spoke to and passed on the street in the week that I was there, and the rest of America |
I come from the Republic of Kiribati. It is right in the centre of the Pacific Ocean. In my country every one was sad to hear the news about the terrorists attack on America. Our President (Honourable Teburoro Tito)gave his words of condolences on our local Radio station to pray for the victims. To wish kind words to the families and friends of the victims, to know that we share the heartbreaks and only wish that the pain will cease somehow by miracle. I personally for instance is affected by the tragedy. One of my best friend, Mrs Georgine Corrigan, was killed too that day. She lives in Honolulu and happened to travel at the moment to the mainland for business reasons. Before she left she rang my boss, to say she was going to the mainland. The first time I met Georgine was when I went to Honolulu in March this year. Since then she became one of my very dearest friend. I never know that such persons as she exists in this world. She was also fun and very social. I PRAY FOR AMERICA AND EVERYONE LIVING THERE. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND MAY THE VICTIMS REST IN PEACE. |
So sad to see all the tragdey going on in America, we are so far away, and removed from it but we do feel for those who have been effected by the actions of a select group. Where dose it all end? |
Stupid Americans. They vote their stupid governments in so they deserve the consequences. |
Thank you for the beautiful photographs a great way to keep the memory of a great city and country tucked in everyones memory and also to never forget the reality of the 11 Sept. So much has come across the net in the last few weeks some of a humourous nature. so it was great to receive these images. For me still not a day goes by when I think of those brave, heroic, poor souls that lost their lives and what their families must be going through. My children have never experienced such a horrific event and say they will never forget what happened to the USA. Be strong we are with you every day |
Thank you very much for your NY Tribute. Never saw New York in that images ...The tragedy will be history like your tribute, never forgotten in our hearts. Anne. God bless you |
Greetings from The Emerald Isle Irmingard, Your Carnival of trinidad and Tobago photos are super. Regards and best wishes, Mickey |
Dear Irmingard, Thank you for your truly beautiful memories via your photography. God bless you, Linda Harris |
I enjoyed your slide show; what a great memorial to the old New York skyline. I'll share it with my family, including my son who sees it from up close. Thanks for sharing it! -Carol |
Very nice tribute to our friends in NY, Washington, and Pennsylvania. The whole world has shared your pain and sorrow and are prayers and thoughts are with each and every one who lost family members. Your lives were torn apart and it could have happened anywhere in the world. Let's all pray and unite our Love, so that terrorism can be beaten. |
X-Originating-IP: [205.221.214.120] Dear Friends, I am still shaking my head and trying to refresh my mind. Is this really happening or just a bad dream? It just seems too unbelievable to be even in one's dreams, and the fact is it is reality. I am at a loss for words. Just saying a plain "I'm sorry!" would be an understatement of what has happened today. No, I am not sorry. I am deeply hurt, I am heart broken. I am broken because of the death of all those innocent people in the airplanes, all the people in the buildings, and for the rescuers. I am broken because will United States ever be the same again. I am broken because NewYork will never be the same NewYork. Coming to United States in 1993, I thought I have come to a new world; a world with human rights, without bombs and brutal force, but what I have seen today has changed almost my whole life, my view of the United States and overall the world itself. Where will I be safe if not in the States? --or is it really true that there shall be no real peace until we die? I felt like writing this because I know what it feels like. Now I think all of my friends also know what countries with the problem of terrorism have to go through everyday. Imagine having your country located just in miles away from "problematic countries;" then you will easily realize numbers like 50,000 is a lot. Now what shall we do? Forgive!? Judith Mammay states in her poem that; "Forgiveness is letting go of the pain and accepting what has happened, because it will not change," - " Forgiveness is looking at the pain, learning the lessons it has produced, and understanding what we have learned." But how far can we go with forgiveness? Whom are we to decide if we should forgive or what action we shall take? Some of you must be thinking definitely not! Not forgive! Not after all this. Well, I really do not know. I just hope that "people above us" our trusted "leaders" are sure of what they are doing, because we need to realize that the easiest way to react to such a horrific catastrophe would be out of anger, to ask for revenge, to want to see someone else hurt as much as you are hurting right now. Then I must warn you my friends; these are the same exact feelings what cause the terrorist attacks in the first place no matter where you are, who you are. I, "once more," deeply in heart pray that this is the last of all and never to be repeated once more. I would like to conclude my letter to you all by asking triple gem to bless and protect the families and relatives for all those people who has lost their lives and fast healing for the wounded and also ask healing for "the broken hearts" and the feelings. |
Thanks for sharing your great pictures. I look forward to the day when you can photograph the NEW WTC buildings. |
Fantastic photography. Thank you and God bless you. Marvin |
Great Slide show especially for us in Spokane WAshington who have not seen New York. It adds to the sadness but appreciateion of the wonders of the US and what we accomplish. Maybe we have become too proud and realize the terror of people who are jealous. Maybe it will teach us to humble ourselves and appreciate what wonderful freedoms we do have. I think we are gracious to lend a hand to those unfortunate countries but remember not to do it out of one upmanship or bargaining but out of sincere love for those whome we give and humility in our own greatness. I do believe t hat our country is blessed with Gods powers and gifts and each president, no matter which party affiliation is blessed in his time of office, but that they too are humans and frail of ..... spirit as their pride intervenes which we need to be wary of. thank you for this wonderful slide show. It almst all looks unreal. Patty Jorgenson |
Thank you for the beautiful slide show (although it didn't work with Netscape 4.77 on my Windows NT 4.0). I feel sad about the victims and their families, although at the moment I am most concerned about the poor and innocent people of Afganistan that is victim of the American terror bombing. Please stop it! Not a single Afghan person has been known to be involved in the actions against USA so far. |
Thank you for the tribute to New York, I thought the pictures were absolutely beautiful. Would love to see some of your work, have you been to Las Vegas and taken pictures also???????? |
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTICE PICTURES! YOU DID A WONDERFUL JOB ON THIS SITE. THANK YOU DECKER FOR SENDING ME THE URL. |
We extend our sympathies to all those who lost loved ones. Here in Sri Lanka we have suffered and will suffer at the the hands of the terrorists for a long time yet. |
When reality gets meaningless - words become "empty" Then the future depends only on the power of man to forgive and to forget |
Great picture of the week of Venice - how do I obtain a hi-resolution image? Thanks Harriet Warren |
Very impessive! |

I can not express my sadness in words for tragedy occured in New York on 11th September, 2001. I can only pray for normalcy to return soon and fear to go from peoples mind. |
we have been touched by what really happened in NY and other parts of America and our prayers and good wishes are with the American people.God bless us all peace loving people this world. |
THERE ARE MANY THORNS IN LIFE,TEARS& SORROWS. WHICH YOU CANNOT WIPE . BUT, YOU AREN!T THE ONLY ONE FOR THERE ARE OTHERS FOLLOWING YOU SPREAD THE FRANGRANCE OF LOVE & PEACE. TOMARROW IS STILL BEYOUND YOUR REACH LET THE PAST BE A DREAM NOT TO REMEMBER. FILL THE PRESENT UPTO THE BRIM. |
Our deepest sympathy to all in the USA, our admiration goes out to all the firemen, police and rescuers. May God bless America and all the democracies in this world of ours. |
I would like to express my deep sorrow for the things that happened in the USA. I send my message of support for all the Americans and the goverment of the USA. Sincerely, Claudio C. Sterle Markovec 25, 1386 Stari trg pri Lozu Slovenija. |
Our life will never be the same, again. For more than a year I used the sentence 'security is an illusion' in every of my e-mails. The sentence I heard from the artist (painter) Bombolo. The macabre fact was that I thought this fits perfect for my computer world I am living and working in. But as we saw nearly four weeks ago it hit us all around the world with this awfull crime. A crime against us all. Because now the trust relationship has been damaged for long times. Every neighbour is a potential terrorist if known to he not one of us Christian people. It seems that this sick head who lead this action to success planed exactly this. To divide the world in two parts. I am sad about this because I thought human mankind will get closer together. Will be a brotherhood of understanding. -Robert |
I do not usually sign guest books, but in your case I am making an exception. I came to your site to see your NYC tribute, which is good. Then I browsed your Carnival of Venice photos. Very, very interesting work. You have a fantastic eye for the dramatic appeal of the costumes! I am very impressed. I'm not a professional photographer, but am a relatively serious amateur photographer (mostly nature work, very little in the way of portraits or cityscapes). As such, I enjoyed browsing your site. Thank you for putting this work online. Scott |
Irmingard~ as always, your talent and eyes catch the very heart of any subject or situation. The madness of the 11th will ring in our hearts forever. That you chose to take both the time and the gems of photographs, arrange them in so wonderful a way, and allow us to breathe in New York and America...their freedoms and the love to be found there...one can only offer a simple thank you...albeit heartfelt. Anyone who writes in an otherwise loving guestbook, that you "used the situation" to s**m, may as well have been pioleting the craft/s. This saddens me to no end, this war at home. Please take these affronts with a grain of salt, for the minds behind such attacks are not minds at all. Your work is refreshing to all of us, and even more in these times of tribulation. God bless America, the world, and you. Thank you for being who you are. |
thnak yuo for your site, i sail the last quarter year weekly with the celebrity ship zenith from ny- bermuda, every saturday i got some hours off in ny, i love this town i love the peoples, and this site remind me the wonderful time, thanxxx chris cook at the summit now |
Hi, My compliments for your beautifull homepages. I love it very much, keep up the good work.. Byebye from Els. |
GOD bless America. Luciano Italy |
The New York attacks were completely sickening and leaves us speechless. It is however, disturbing that similar deaths take place constantly in the classroom, neighborhood,in the streets of most American towns and abroad in a lighter scale.. It seems that man is being conditioned to destroy each other. The whole future of mankind may well depend not only on the question whether man in entirely or only in part the product of conditionings but also on the extent to which he is treated as though he were. It is all man's creation that will come to silence and extinguish life. Hitler's way never was accepted in society why do we still use his methods of approach to human problems? Because we are all good and Evil. It is our good that reinforces peace and our evil brings doom. Therefore, it is up to us to stand up and demand of the world to do what is good to outweigh what is evil. Thanks for hanging in there for the rest of us who still have the courage to live. For those who had the suicide mission had lost the courage to face life the way it is now not good at all. |
Tonight we are suppose to get more rain. We had 0.51 mm earlier today. The low was 20 Celcius and High was 27.8 Celcius. Yesterday the high was 30 C and low was 21.7 C. We are suppose to have a cooler day tomarrow, high around 18 C and low around 12 C. Three years ago we had a lot of rain in October, 458.98 mm in San Antonio. Some places nearby had around 762 mm of rain in this flood. We do not expect this to happen tomarrow. Maybe we will get between 5 and 30 mm of rain. Hope you all get some sunny days there. Thanks for the note here on New York. Many promising things that technology and people from all over the world can do for the world to come, like curing disease, learning more about our climate, cleaner fuel, better homes, longer and healthier lives, exploring space, etc. Wishing you the best and you have a great website. Anna Kotelev's tribute was moving...... Cold and still yet strong and unmoving....the feelings you get when you first come to New York....... I'd like to see what she could do with People.... Chris Earthlink@Prodigy.Net |
Let the world unite to rid itself from the evil. We owe this to our coming generations. Thanks |
Nice. Very nice. There are those in the USA who place the blame for the incident of September 11 solely on the US government. These are people who are cowards, not patriots. I will be the first to say that our government has not been perfect, but the responsibility of that rests on those who and especially on those who do not vote. Those so-called "protesters" of voting are the fools who allow some of the scurrilous villains to be elected. I say this to those who say America is so bad: If this country is so bad, why do so very many want to come here and live??!? |
Very nice tribute! |
Solidarity with the American people! We'll always stand by your side. May God bless the victims and their families. |
My heart bleeds for America. There is no doubt, The United States of America will overcome and still remain THE GREATEST NATION ON EARTH. COURAGE TO THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA!! |

I am grieved indeed for the September 11 incident.I deplore the ghastly and cowardly act.I pray God that may the soul of those who lost their lives rest in peace and i wish speedy recovery of those who are injured in the incident. |
I can't understand the terrible act of unknown terrorists. I deeply feel the sorrow of the victims's families Erdmute |
Very nice piece of work. |
Of course, every tragedy that faces the world is horrible. From a global point of view, New York shouldn't be given "special treatment."But, I admit to be prejudiced here. New York City is the place where I was raised.I came to the city just before I was 3 years old and lived there until I was 18. I returned when I was 25 and lived another four years there, until I definitively came to Europe. So, it was hard for me to see all those pictures, trying as hard as I could to imagine being stuck in the World Trade Center, or even imagining being stuck in those thick clouds as a resident in some part of New York City.Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing.Luis |
THANK YOU FOR THE SLIDE SHOS OF NEW YORK. THIS IS ;A WONDERFUL TRIBUTE TO THE CITY; AND TH;E USA. |

All of us are Americans and we as citizens HIGHLY APPRECIATE all the BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTES GOD BLESS ALL OUR FRIENDS AND ALLIES FOR HELPING US ALL THRU THIS DIFFICULT TIME ! |
Just want to send my regards and condolences to those who lost their loved ones in this ghastly tragedy. I also want to thank all those that risked or lost their lives to help so many people whom they did not even know. It is the existance of such bravery that has made this event bearable.I am confidant that New York and America will bounce back form this tragedy and rise to face the challenges that this day and age unfortunately carries with it. It is also great to see that the world can suddenly cast aside its differences in order to face a common enemy with a united front. I just hope that the lives lost in this great tragedy served the purpose of awakening the US and the World and that we will not let down our guard to such an attack again. |
Thank you for stirring up old memories. I haven't beenin NYC in over twenty-two years. I've been in the WorldTrade Center. I took the ride up to the top. Walkedaround. I enjoyed every minute. May the hand of Godassist in the recovery of our lost family and friends. |

May we turn our hearts to God,and pray his hand of protection on this nation.Pray for those familysthat have suffered loss."IF MY PEOPLE,WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME,SHALL HUMBLETHEMSELVES,PRAY,SEEK MY FACE,AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKEDWAYS,THEN I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN,AND WILL FORGIVE THEIRSIN AND I WILL HEAL THEIR LAND". 2 CRONICLES 7:14 |

Thank you so much for the compelling photo tribute to the USA. It is artists like yourself who work to put the recent tragic events into context for us, as well as try to express some healing thoughts, who give us all a moment of fresh air and clarity.THANK YOU! |
I was so pleased to see your website so beautifully done which I just can't pass without congratulating you. That's nice though. Keep up your good work and we keep our bonding as friends and concerned citizens of this world. My prayer goes out to all the victims of the recent appalling event in New York and Washington D.C. Mark |
Hello and greetings from Wisconsin USA..I thank you so muchfor the slide show to America..I loved the USA flag soclear and large looming in front which led your eye to theStatue of Liberty..It has a 3-D hyperfocal visual qualityto near and far which in a sense is symbolic of how thecountries bond together in other parts of the world whofeel our grief and sadness..I liked the poetry that yourfriend Brett wrote in front, so true and fitting..God blessyou always and may He keep you safe..Peace to you..Andrea |
The images of New York are splendid. God bless. |
As usual, your photographs are stunning. How lucky we are that you've takensuch beautiful pictures of our Big Apple. They are postcard perfect. God Bless the USA; God bless us all. |
Liked the NYC slide show. Well done. Some of the pics were too low quality though and there was banding on the sky around the top of the buildings. Its always a problem with gradient skies. |
ANNA,just one word to describe your work... GENIUS!!This is about the best tribute you could bestow on the People of New York. With admirationChristine |
Hi Anna !!!!!!!!The slide show are Great Great work I love a lot and God bless America God bless the world jose.Santana |
New York, The States and Humanity will recover from the ashes of the Trade Center. |
We in Scotland were also devesated with what happened in NewYork and and can only pray that no more lives will be lost. |
Thank you for such a tribute to America and to the liberty for which she stands. Freedom is not free. It comes with a price. Evil powers crucified Christ on Golgotha and put me on my knees, and evil powers took down the twin towers of freedom and put the world on its knees. Darkness cannot destroy the light and never shall, for it only makes the light shine all the brighter. Thanks so much for being out there in space for a comfort and strength to America and the world. Till we meet in Jesus, Martha |

Now about me, I am a 75 year old writer/author of "Totally Discombobulated" a true story written the way I lived it, and all names remain the same.I have zero tolerance for any type of violence. I lived through thirty years of and abusive and many times violent situations. These terrorists have no idea what they are doing. Creative expression existed before all other humanistic attributes and will continue long after they have passed. It is this creativity and eye to recognize that within others which allows us to not wrap ourselves too tightly around those things which do not nourish the eyes, ears, heart, and spirit. I love your work and would like to offer you my thanks for having shared it with all those who are fortunate enough to enjoy it. It is magnificant to see your work while allowing all interpretations to be still. Thanks to my dear friend Decker for directing me to this site. Keep up the wonderful work Irmingard! |

You call it an update. We call it a treat! Thank you for sharing the most five dementional images of the carnival with the globe. As always, the keen eye, and taste for bringing us the real masks and confetti covered cobblestones, brought the uniqueness of that enchanted city right back to my room. Bravo Irmingard! |
Irmingard Anna?Your update is as great as a peek into your CD. I adore looking at your work, and so do many others here...half way around the world. Thank you for making the world a bit nicer to look upon. |

I know I thought I had been transported back to Venice. Thank you so much for the experience.Sincerely,Cynthia Patino |
Irmingardyour work inspires me. I have to confess to using it for costume choices in an upcoming project. Warmest regards. J.F. |
I love the CD. Thank you for being so talented. I view it often. Best wishes from Jason D. |
Irmingard, your work is wonderful, and again, I wish to tell you that it is a pleasure to view. As I just wrote to Decker, I have been far too busy for words. He can write them for me. Both Jen and I look into the site often, and from some odd locations. You will be hearing more from us. Never know where we might turn up. Love from Brad and Jen |
Hi Irmingard, - I enjoyed your photos of the Venice Carnival, since my wife and I also visited during the Carnival 2000.Although we are amateurs, we are both keen photographers and belong to our local camera club, which has a website that Imaintain: http://www.bromleycameraclub.org.ukI too, am building a website for the photos that we took in Venice, so perhaps you would care to view it some time. The URL ishightidemark - which I thought entirely appropriate for the perils facing Venice !Your comments on our pictures would be especially welcome.Regards, Paul and Sharon Hastings. |
Loved your Carnival, we have our own: Aruba' carnival; different but also with a lot of beauty. I would like to go over there to see those magnificent costumes....Greetings, LouiseBy the way: you don't have my location so I put the Netherlands |
Dear Irmingard,I must leave for The States in ten days. I want to attempt a thanks for more than any guestbook will tolorate. Thank you for showing me Germany, Venice (during carnival), other pristine countries...but most of all, your world. To watch you work in person was both amazing and a bit spooky. How you captured the images only you can, and in a sea of people...bravo! Your CDRom is a jewel to me. I can only covet this, and wait for Carnival Millennium to be born. No kitchen photographer, you. Na-ah. Again, the best work I have seen on Carnival of Venice is your work. Anyone who passed on owning one of these instant portals, was a fool. Not your loss at all. Thank you for showing me the hidden places, the enchanted forrests and unknown markers. Secrets shared late at night. I will never forget this experience, and although I love The States (for I grew up there, I grew in Germany. Lessons learned. My creative juices flowed like the Isar here, and a farie tale was born. As I told you many times before, it is not only about you, it is you. My only hope on this, is to share it with children of all ages, that they too may have a taste of Irmingard Anna and her adventures in dreams. Your a great woman, a true lady, I will be back. Of this I am certain. Love, Brett |
